Thoughts On Forza Horizon 5

As someone who has played all the games in the Forza Horizon series, I found the latest installment to be the best, as has been the case with each entry.

I’m not a hardcore racing fan; I only like racing games to get an opportunity to drive a car at high speeds for more than two minutes, which is an impossible task in real life!

The Forza Horizon series is thus perfect for me, as it encourages you to ignore road rules for a bit and tear through the map as you like while rewarding you with virtual points for doing so!

With the recently released “Rally Adventure” DLC, it appears that Forza Horizon 5 (FH5) has received its last piece of major content, so now is a good time to look back on this Mexican adventure that started in late 2021.

Again, I don’t play the game seriously enough to notice every little detail or what makes it different from the previous games. But I enjoyed my romp through Mexico, probably more so than the England map in FH4. The volcano is the key factor for this, as that is indeed one spectacular landmark. Driving up the mountainside and coming down at breakneck speed is an incredible racing experience.

The two DLCs – Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure – are decent additions to the package and add a nice change of pace whenever the base map gets boring.

If there’s one thing I wish the series improves on, it is the annoying wheelspins. Every time that wheel pops up, I feel like I’m pulled out of a racing game and forced into a casino. I don’t care what accessories my driver wins – just let me drive fast cars!
